Pioneering Essential Care for Every Baby (ECEB) in Ghana

Globally, Ghana pioneered Essential Care for Every Baby (ECEB) implementation at provider level. Multiple documents, including the national bottleneck analysis and Ghana’s national newborn policy and action plan are showcased.  Samples of Single Scenario Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for ECEB and HBB are presented. A list of ECEB (Ghana adapted/developed) tools is made available and samples of locally purchased supplies utilized for skills acquisition practices ECEB and HBB    are displayed. Complementary training materials previously developed in-country (job-aids and Ghana’s adapted version of WHO pocket book on hospital care for children are exhibited.
